Annual trip to Lords

Not an avid Cricket fan but I enjoy a trip to Lord's for the rather refined atmosphere etc. South Africa were in town and I scored a ticket for the fourth day for roughly half price from ebay which can't be bad. We even had a hot thunder storm and the sky went proper dark before a passing shower delivered big globules of water over a packed out Lord's. Mind you after the shower had passed the sun was seriously hot and burned me to a crisp more or less! I enjoyed the day although it was unbearably hot. As I write SA have just won the Test on the final day and are officially the best Test side in the world although it was a close call in the end. I thought about going for the final day but decided against in the end though as it turns out it was quite an exciting finale with England just failing and losing the series 2-0 to the Saffers. Here are a few photos.

Day out in Brighton

Haven't been to Brighton for many years and since I've booked some time off work, I decided to make the trip with mum of course. We had a fun day out and the weather was good, the fish and chips was wicked and a beer on the beach is never bad! Plus we missed a huge down pour as soon as we entered the station right at the end of the day. Lucky us! I was completely shattered by the time we got home though! Here are the photos of the day.

Olympic Football Quarter Final - Mexico v Senegal

I attended what will likely be my final Olympic event of 2012 unless a miracle happens and I find a ticket for the 100m final on the street or something! It was a good match which Mexico should have won in 90 minutes but Senegal managed to equalise to make it 2-2 by the end of the 90. In extra time two terrible mistakes by Senegal saw Mexico win 4-2 and go through to the semi-final. I had wanted them to win in 90 to land a bet but as usual my luck was useless and they couldn't win in normal time. It was a great match though with a nice atmosphere from the close to 82,000 crowd. Here are the photos from the day:
